My first experience with Tolkien was when I was 5 and my dad was watching LOTR and made me cover my face with a pillow during the orc parts. Since that moment I've been obsessed. I still have my first copy of the FOTR which my elementary school gave to me as it was already falling apart before I checked it out. My dad went in with me so I wouldn't get in trouble because an entire chapter fell out. They ended up giving it to me and thank god they did because I haven't put a Tolkien book down since.
