First Lord of the Rings reading experience: Well I had a try at it before the films came out but got as far as Tom Bombadil. The thing that did manage to stay in my mind from that first proper reading attempt was the Black Riders, so they (and hobbits) were the only things I was familier with when I saw the first film. Loved the films and it's all gone from there.
Favorite Tolkien character: Now that's a toughie. It changes all the time The first character I can remember being interested in was Boromir for his humanity and purely human reasons for wanting to use the Ring. At the moment I would say Bilbo. He was just chilling, smoking his pipe and minding his own business just like many of us in our day to day life, and he ends up in the cavern of a dragon stealing treasure and being on a huge adventure. I just love that he finds real courage and think that there's elements of the ordinariness of Bilbo in us with that Tookish part just waiting to come out
Less Filling or Tastes Great: Tastes Great
Elves and Dragons or Cabbages and Potatoes: Elves and Dragons
