First Lord of the Rings reading experience: I Read the book at 12 years of age. And not many kids can do that, and I remember wanting to quit reading it sometimes, because it was so heavy. But I read it. And then just after finishing the fellowship of the ring part, I saw the first movie in the cinema. It was just great. And from that moment on, I was hooked. And Iread the rest of the book, in a couple of weeks. I have later read the book again a few years back (in English, first read trough was in Norwegian). And it was even better then because I understood it much more. And I am now currently reading it again for the third time.
Favorite Tolkien character: From his books, it has to be Gandalf, Tom Bombadil and Beorn and Boromir. Cant really say why except, that you never really get to know who they are, and I guess its that mysterious quality to them that I like. For Boromir its the reason below. From the movie(s), its Boromir. He is a complex character, which I guess I Identify myself with the most, for good or evil.
