I was in High School when I first read the book. I had to read The Hobbit in World Lit, and after reading that, I just had to read The Lord of the Rings. I thought the hobbit was good, and I was just blown away by The Lord of the Rings... and i must say, it was the first time I had ever cried while reading a book.
Favorite Tolkien character:
My favorite Tolkien Character is Gandalf. He has always fascinated me. I cried when he died in Fellowship, and I was overwhelmed when he came back to us at the turn of the tide in The Two Towers... and then when his time was up, he put on the ring of fire, and sailed off to Valinor.
