My father first introduced me to Tolkien and read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings to me before my 10th birthday. I have read them and other Tolkien works numerous times since then and they occupy a large part of my heart.
Favorite Tolkien character:
I love Beorn as a character and wish we could have seen more of him. Though he is one of the more whimsical characters, he represents strength, thoughtfulness, and gentleness which are attributes that all Tolkien's heroes strive to attain, in some combination, but few achieve in such a beautiful balance.
