Making films with my friends, stop-motion animation, self-publishing, making masks for LARPers, collecting films and comics, reading.
First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
A pocket edition of "The Two Towers", actually. I was about 11 and bought the book because of its very cool cover (made by Inger Edelfeldt). Then I realized, reading it, that I was obviously missing out on the bigger picture. I've been stuck really bad since then.
Favorite Tolkien character:
I like Gandalf most of all for many reasons. He's become an icon for the entire field of fantasy, and that's saying a lot about the importance of the character. But aside from that, Gandalf is both superhuman and one of the most human, or humane, chraracters in the books. He also has some of the best lines and scenes!
