First Lord of the Rings reading experience: First had The Hobbit read to me by school teacher at age 10 and decided to read LOTR afterwards. Subsequently read JRRT other works including The Sil over the years. I was bought a copy of the special Alan Lee centenary edition of LOTR by my parents, which just sits on my book case as I read my paperback copies usually
Favorite Tolkien character: Gandalf, always admired his wisdom, his sharp quips and his usage of his own powers. You know he could kick everybodies ass but he encourages other people to use their strengths and talents.
