First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
I was introduced to the LOTR about the age of 11 (The Hobbit) and 12 (LOTR) and have been a devotee ever since, having amassed a fair collection of ancillary materials, my favourite being an atlas of Middle-Earth and Tolkien Bestiary.
Favorite Tolkien character:
Gawd- this is a poser! My first shot would be to say Feanor of the Silmarillion. I suppose there is much to write about the one who created such beauty that it well drove a god mad; but if one were to distill it down I would draw focus to the wealth of duality in this character and that so much of the histories of Middle Earth thence are entwined with the scions of his decisions and purposes (...and loins perhaps lol.).
