found TORn in late '90's, followed the movie development through this site primarily...
First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
read the Hobbit in 4-5th grade, then LOTR ...loved it all and role played on camping trips....played D&D when it first came out...had the posters, art, listened to bands that had a Tolkien influence...probably read the books once or twice every year or two.
Favorite Tolkien character:
initially identified with Frodo... now more Sam...but loved Gandalf as he was a god figure when I was doubting established religion...who didnt push his godliness on hobbits...
I like Gimli and Treebeard...and Beorn and Goldberry and Tom Bombadil....
