I am of below average height, have a beard, quite like mines, and think Galadriel is the absolute bee's knees. On the other hand if I tried to run across the plains of Rohan I would probably collapse after a few hundred yards. Ah well, can't have it all I guess...
First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
Avoided it until late teens having been put off by having The Hobbit read to us in class at age 6, thinking it was a bit babyish and assuming LOTR was the same from the first few pages. Tried again after a friend was reading the track list of my copy of "Once Again" by Barclay James Harvest and freaked out when he read the title of the fourth track. Was immediately hooked :D
Favorite Tolkien character:
Galadriel. Without her I would never have read LOTR to begin with, and it seems that not only is there far more to her than Barclay James Harvest hinted at, there is far more to her even than Tolkien himself knew :D
