First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
My dad first read "The Hobbit" to me during the time that FotR came to theatres. It was the most magical experience I had ever known. I started reading FotR afterwards and fell in love with Frodo and his story. I saw FotR on DVD after having finished reading it and went on to read TTT and ROTK. (I saw TTT on DVD, and finally got to see ROTK in the theatres.) I had discovered a world unlike anything I could have ever guessed could even exist! It is now something that I can turn to whenever I need an escape, an adventure.
Favorite Tolkien character:
I think Frodo is one of the most beautiful characters ever to be created, both inside and out. Bilbo and Gandalf weren't wrong when they said that he was (is) the best hobbit in the Shire, nay, of all. His simplicity, his love and compassion, his humility, his courage and self-sacrifice all make up his special, fascinating person, not to mention his Elvish beauty. Never was there a character that I could admire and love so much.
