First Lord of the Rings reading experience: Well, I tried like 80 gazillion times to read LOTR but only ever managed to get about halfway through FOTR before loosing interest. As a result, I know that part insanely well, but the rest is a bit foggy. Then, the movies came out and I renewed my determination to read the triliogy again. It was actually easier to understand the books now that I had seen the movies. Recently I started them for a second time, and although I did get through FotR rather quickly, I am having motivational issues with starting TTT....lol.
Favorite Tolkien character: I love Aragorn. Not just because he's played by Viggo Mortenson in the movie (although that helps) but because he's such an admirable character. In the books you can really see him grow from ranger to king in the way that he acts and makes his decisions. He also has a cool sword! lol
