Occupation: Software Engineer
Interests: Actually work on video games now, which isn't as exotic as it used to be, the industry is quite large. Tried to get the rights to a Lord of the Rings game in 1998. :)
First Lord of the Rings reading experience: Ran across The Hobbit in the school library in 1965 (?) pre-Ballantine LotR release, not sure which edition. Disregarded Tolkien's "more about hobbits" plug for LotR because I assumed it was more verisimilitude. (He'd referred to The Hobbit in its Middle-Earth incarnation repeatedly.) Discovered LotR really *existed* the next year, devoured it in three days and have been enamored ever since!
Favorite Tolkien character: Welp, not sure it's Faramir, but he's in the running. Chose my handle as some minor recompense for Jackson's slandering of his character in the films. :) C'mon, guys, there are other ways to get a camera crew to Osgiliath than by having one of the really *good* guys kidnap the Ringbearer like some douche.
Less Filling or Tastes Great: Tastes Great
Elves and Dragons or Cabbages and Potatoes: Cabbages and Potatoes
