Real Name: Eruvandi is the Elvish translation of my real name. My real name can mean either "Pledged to God" or "God's oath". Eruvandi means "God's oath"
Location: U.S.A.
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: 1992-05-19
Local Time: 12:37 am
Interests: All things Hobbit/LOTR, my Christian faith, knitting and left-handed crochet, Narnia, most animals but horses are my favorite, learning, reading, video games, theonering.net, music, writing, etc.
First Lord of the Rings reading experience: I had heard of LOTR for years and had tried to watch the FOTR movie and read the book at some point but I was young and it seemed weird/confusing so I didn't finish either of them. I became interested again when I went to see Pixar's Brave in theaters and saw the trailer for The Hobbit:AUJ and thought it looked great, but I still didn't know the story so lost interest again. THEN, in May 2013 I got a surprise Birthday gift of the LEGO LOTR video game. Once I played the game, I FINALLY understood the story and fell in love. I have since been reading my way through the saga starting with The Hobbit and I have now read all of LOTR and the Silmarillion too. I have also now seen and loved the Peter Jackson LOTR and Hobbit movies.
Favorite Tolkien character: Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, and Gandalf. Bilbo grew so much as a character during The Hobbit by overcoming many fears, finding his courage and taking risks to help his friends. Frodo discovered that he was stronger and braver than he thought he was. Sam was the best and sweetest friend ever! Gandalf was very strong, brave and wise and willing to sacrifice his own life for his friends. I find all of these characters personally inspiring...I'm also rather fond of the rest of the members of the Fellowship, the dwarves from the Hobbit, Galadriel and probably half the Silmarillion characters for reasons too numerous to list here.
Less Filling or Tastes Great: Tastes Great
Elves and Dragons or Cabbages and Potatoes: Elves and Dragons
