First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
I read the Hobbit and LoTR as a child, but it wasn't until later that I began to delve deeper into the Legendarium. I was drawn in by the many academic disciplines layered and hidden throughout Tolkien's works. I decided when I was 23, that I was going to devote the rest of my life to becoming a proper Tolkienist, and absorb all that I can of the Legendarium as possible in my short life.
Favorite Tolkien character:
Eärendil; because he was the first of all mortals to set foot in Valinor. He also bore a Silmaril without being driven mad with greed, power or madness generally.
