Jewelry-making, steampunk, Victorianism, everything and anything Tolkien, arching, and the arts.
First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
". . . Whoah. This is. . . whooooah. . . Where has this been all of my life?!"
Favorite Tolkien character:
I'm an archer myself, so Legolas (of Mirkwood) is naturally my favorite character. What's not to like? He brought down a fell beast of the Nazgul in one shot, and he has enough sense to see beyond the subject of race and befriend Gimli. I see him as the type of loyal friend anyone would like to have - he just happens to be pretty kick-ass, too.
It's a pity that more than half of the Legolas fans I've run into only like him for the actor that plays him. Bloody shame, really.
