First Lord of the Rings reading experience: My father introduced me to Tolkien's Middle-earth at age 6, and I've been in love ever since. I had of course heard of Peter Jackson's films, but at the time, I was most interested in the Rankin & Bass and Ralph Bakshi animated adaptions of 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings', both of which still hold a special place in my heart. Dad said that I had to read the books before watching the films. I instantly fell in love with 'There and Back Again'. I did read Tolkien's LOTR trilogy, but at my young age, I found it slow and wasn't really able to understand it. After watching PJ's cinematic trilogy at age 8, I revisited the novels and found new appreciation of Tolkien's masterful creation. As I matured, I dove into the complex lore of Tolkien's Middle-earth, and I'm still fascinated by it. I frequently re-watch Jackson's legendary films (The Fellowship of the Ring is my all-time favorite movie) and typically re-read each of Tolkien's Middle-earth novels (including 'The Silmarillion' and 'Unfinished Tales') once a year. Oh, and I'm also an avid collector of everything Middle-earth. Looking forward to interacting with fellow Hobbits, Men, Elves, and Dwarves!
Favorite Tolkien character: I'm a Baggins of Bag End. Frodo or Bilbo. It's interchangeable.
Elves and Dragons or Cabbages and Potatoes: Cabbages and Potatoes
