baking, photography, reading, travelling, spending too much time on the internet, and history... :D
First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
To be honest, I was at first appalled at the idea of having to read the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings. Not that it didn't fall into my favorite genre, but my mother dared to call it "classic literature", when I went through a phase of reading nothing but young adult/teen books. Awful, I know.
But one night RotK was on television... I was utterly confused by the Path's of the Dead, but utterly engrossed. I decided maybe Lord of the Rings wasn't as bad I had throughout. Needless to say, I saw the movies, ASAP, first. I've never actually finished reading Lord of the Rings, only FotR and part of TTT... and that's what this whole section is about... I should go read now, shouldn't I? ;)
Favorite Tolkien character:
Galadriel. For some reason she is just a character that holds special significance to me. She has a lengthy, fascinating history and possesses great depth. She's beautiful, wise, and powerful… What’s not to love? ;) Though, beneath all that she's not perfect..
