about a trip my son is planning to NZ next Christmas.
Calling all Kiwi Tornado's ... help and info needed ...
OK. My son is a music student here in London. One of his good friends will be studying at Wellington University in his second year and my son has come up with an exceedingly good about about visiting this friend at Christmas.
What he wants to do is, I believe, called 'Woofing' - working for his board and food for a couple of weeks, then meeting his friend in Welly for a week or so to do some sightseeing.
Now, I know that most of these projects require the participant to pay for the experience - but, I thought I would ask and see if any of you know of schemes that my son could join in NZ, and not pay (after all he is a student and he does support himself through working and gigs).
He would like to do conservation work or anything useful and outdoors if possible, or ... something with music. And it would be lovely to know the best way of travelling around NZ - bus, train or if hitching is safe. In short - anything you feel would be useful to pass along to him.
If you could reply to my email address :- firstname.lastname@example.org I would really appreciate it and it stops the board getting filled up.
With my most grateful thanks.
