...with the movies better reflecting Tolkien's version of events. I'm fine with Jackson changing some minor things and putting his own stamp on it, but I truly feel that he went way overboard with changes and his own additions (which sometimes came at the expense of book moments). Even when I sometimes understand why Jackson makes certain changes (for instance portraying the sickness in Greenwood as a recent development), I still wish it were done in a manner that wasn't so contradictory of the lore.
