I loved it the more I saw it [In reply to] Can't Post

The first one was a marathon for me, too. I wore my Bilbo bathrobe I made and wasn't sure how I felt about BotFA. It was wonderful, but I was paused for some reason. Just a bit. Then I saw it again the next day, and I was a gonner. It's hard not to have expectations, and I think I was distracted by that. Now it's right up there with the rest of the flicks. Fantastic!

Have a GREAT weekend!

That sound fantastic :) [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm so glad you asked about freshening up the story with other perspectives. It makes it fresh for the audience and for the players. Good for you! I'm in the camp of "wanna see it!"

I hope you have a wonderful weekend AND a re-write that makes you smile :) One version for the elders, one version for the halflings ;)

I'll bet if you do [In reply to] Can't Post

wear your hair like Thorin (which I think you should try ;), no one in your family would know what it is because they don't watch the movie! I'll school you on geek-ware. Those who don't know about it won't get it... and those who do see and understand, well, you probably made their day ;) My hair has been hobbity for years!

I wish we had the cheap-theatres around here. The 2 we had were driven outta town about 15 years ago when the one big theatre opened (10 screens). I really do want to see it one more time. I had to leave before the end on this last one when my best-friend's Mom took a turn for the worse and I left to help.

I'm like you... I gotta stay through at least Billy's song... which I cry through knowing it's Peter, Phillipa and Fran saying goodbye... and I normally stay until the credits are done. Love the sketches and music. So yeah... I've gotta do at least an hour road trip to find it one more time.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Awesome!!! :D [In reply to] Can't Post

I've got hot cider all ready to go!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Costumes! And it's great to see them in action! You know... my theatre didn't even have a poster up for BotFA! I scolded them soundly, and they hung their heads in shame. *tsk, tsk*

Have a wonderful weekend... and I'm working on my Lego's too ;) *high five*

In some ways she was unofficially one of the Inklings. [In reply to] Can't Post

It's actually a series of twelve radio plays that were presented monthly over the course of a year on BBC back in the 1950s. Unfortunately, no recording is available, so I've only read the script, which is available in book form. It's well worth reading; the stage directions are as moving as the actual dialog.

The PT is really helping [In reply to] Can't Post

And there is a strange an wonderful side effect of my kids doing more chores around the house!

I'm glad you're getting relief with the Osteo Bi-Flex. The jury is still out in the studies I've read about the active ingredients. It seems to be effective in some patients but not others. I'm hoping it will help; I'm too young to be bent over like the old witch in Snow White. Tongue

ITLs don't get enough FAS. :)
