the mass of trees reminds me of Frodo's dream at Crickhollow: "Eventually he fell into a vague dream, in which he seemed to be looking out of a high window over a dark sea of tangled trees."

is a screencap from AUJ, before Radagast arrives to explore Dol Guldur. One of my favorite things about the ME movies is Middle-earth as PJ imagines it and its peoples and cultures. The Weta work on costumes and set dressings always, always astounds and amazes me!
“Tollers,” Lewis said to Tolkien, “there is too little of what we really like in stories. I am afraid we shall have to try and write some ourselves.”

I agree, there's one shot just before Galadriel arrives of Gandalf in the cage to the left, with Mirkwood spread out to the top and right of the shot, which is just lovely. Makes me want to go exploring (with my bow and arrow of course)!

..it wasn't likely to be the actual third image you posted there! Gloomy forests are my imagination's best friend
