Bo5A gets no love from the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards Can't Post

The Battle of the Five Armies lost both awards it was nominated for at last nights Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards. The movie was nominated for Hair and Make-up and Visual Effects. Hair and Make-up went to Guardians of the Galaxy and Visual Effects to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Another blown opportunity for most of us favorite movie of last year to excel. Oh well!

Much though I love the Hobbit... [In reply to] Can't Post

I can forgive a VFX vote for Apes. It's "live action" (with humans playing humans), but the two most compelling characters in that film , including the central character, were CGI. I would find it a hard choice. I like Hobbit better overall, but I also remember walking out of Apes this summer, feeling amazed how brilliantly they had pulled this off.
