Between FotR and AUJ. AUJ was actually my first Middle Earth film experience, so it will always be special for that reason (plus, it's a good film). However, I LOVE FotR, especially the extended edition. The pacing seemed perfect and many parts were exactly how I pictured them in the book (or better, such as Boromir's character). It's a beautiful film.
It was a mess in some respects, but...

...RotK was still my favorite. Jackson had 5 hours of movie left, and had to squeeze them into a little over 3. In addition, he was exhausted and over-saturated with this project. Still, some of the moments in this film were so magnificent they overcame the flaws. The beacons, of course; the Ride of the Rohirrim; Shelob; Moria and Mt Doom; the moment with the 4 hobbits back in the Shire; the sailing at the end. All wonderful enough to make up for the many problems.
Oh dear, I love something about all of them though and dislike something as well. I voted FotR as my favorite though. It's a bit slow paced, but it started it all, the music is amazing and it feels more fantasy like which I love so much.
For a while TTT was my favorite, but the Treebeard scenes drags it down. They're just too slow and boring (Sorry!). Then there's RotK that is in every sense epic. It's a favorite too really.
I don't really want to compare the Hobbit to LotR in quality because yes I think it is lower, but I still love them. I just have generally more issues with this trilogy. I think AUJ must be my favorite of the Hobbit movies. I found it charming although the music was a bit too much taken from LotR. DoS is alright and BotfA is epic, but the last 30 minutes of that movie makes it the one I have the most issues with in the whole series which is pretty well done. There's decisions done even I can't get over.
1. Fellowship of the Ring (my favourite movie in general) 2. The Two Towers (10/10) 3. Return of the King (10/10) 4. Unexpected Journey (8/10) 5. Desolation of Smaug (7/10) 6. Battle of the Five Armies (5/10)
It's between ROTK and FOTR for me - can't decide

FOTR is a Tolkien fan's dream, but I think ROTK is the better movie. Plus we still have the EE of BOFA to wait for, so I think I'll hold off on voting for now.
