Thranduil is a fluffy puppy! Can't Post

So he wise cracks Gandalf saying "wizards like to exaggerate" (not sure the exact lines) and in DOS he tells Legalos the orcs intend to release a weapon that will destroy middle earth...

He brings food to help the Laketown people and then says screw your 'thank you" it's all about the gems...

Then it takes a confirmation with Tariel to save the company...

What a beagle!

:)

Fantastic movie my favorite of the six! Maybe tied with the fellowship...

Hey, beagles can be quite ferocious when they want to be.Wink Trust me, I own one.

"I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play
And mild and sweet their songs repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

But in despair I bowed my head
There is no peace on earth, I said
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

Then rang the bells more loud and deep,
God is not dead, nor doth He sleep
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men."

The jewels were in Erebor because... [In reply to] Can't Post

In the AUJ EE, that box of jewels that the dwarves snapped shut in Thranduil's face had the necklace in it. You can kinda, sorta see it if you pause the picture. Thranduil apparently asked the dwarves to make it, but because of all the hoopla that Old Bilbo mentions in his narration about the dwarves saying Thranduil didn't give them their rightful pay, but the elves saying they wouldn't hand over the jewels, Thranduil never got the jewels and they therefore stayed in Erebor until Smaug came.

I like that post [In reply to] Can't Post

And best 'subject' I've read in a while. Though I wonder how he would like to be called fluffy. ;)

Don't forget his sassy line when Lego said he promised to set the orc free. His sass knows no borders, not even when it's his own son. LOL

The fortunes of the world will rise and fall, but here in this kingdom we will endure!
