Seems to confirm [In reply to] Can't Post

More of Smaug's attack for the EE.

There's also a similar interview with Thorin, where he doesn't mention scenes as such, but seems to be alluding very strongly to the funeral scene

I so need the funeral scene (Warning: big spoilers!!!) [In reply to] Can't Post

because the last we see of Fili is him just lying there dead, no one there to mourn him, no one there to do anything about his body, quite alone and forgotten. As if he had just been discarded (in a really shocking way) as the lesser of the two princes and 'let's get on now with our beloved Kili and his big heroics'. And I hope for more scenes with Fili in the EE because it's been bothering me since DoS how Kili gets all the limelight and all of Thorin's affection and attention (and I do like Aidan Turner so it's just the unfairness of it, almost like Denethor's treatment of Faramir if not quite that harsh).

'Goodness gracious, you really are a messie!' 'Oh no, I'm not, these are all just mathoms...'

Fili [In reply to] Can't Post

I would like to see the funeral scene too.

As for Fili, I've really been enjoying this thread.

His death felt rushed and poorly handled.
