At least kill some I mean, not a single kill in DoS.... come on Smaug! Thorin is right, you seem to be in a pretty bad shape after all these years! So, which character will likely get to be a dragons chewing-gum? I think this might be the Master of Laketown's moment. (I know that the Master survives in the book, but can't Alfrid take his place in the dialogue? He really could! We have seen some far worse changes in this trilogy...) Here in Sweden you must be 15 years to watch the movie... I hope this means FIRE and DEATH! If Smaug really believes he is death, well... he better prove it

... in the trailer. Look at the house behind Alfrid and the Master.

Here in Sweden you must be 15 years to watch the movie... I hope this means FIRE and DEATH! 99% sure it will get a "11" rating like AUJ and DOS. It's rated 15 right now because that is the default rating for not-yet-rated movies. Both AUJ and DOS had "15" on my midnight screening ticket I bought, but they wound up with a "11" rating... so don't get your hopes up for a fiery gorefest!

Just look at SF Bio's facebook page wall, there are plenty of kids freaking out of the possibility that they won't see the movie because they think the movie is rated 15... can't help but grin a little

Here in the US I'm guessing it will be PG-13

That's what DoS is rated, and I can't see BoFA being less violent/scary than that.

PG-13/ 11 is suitable for these movies. R/15 rating would feel out of place, this isn't some average hack and slashfest like 300.

What then is keeping these movies from being more like LotR? LotR wasn't 300 style gore, but there was definitely some blood. And if you look at any other PG-13 movie here in the US you're bound to find more gore than what we have for the first two Hobbit films. X-Men Days of Future Past, Star Trek Into Darkness, and all these others movies openly show blood when appropriate, yet The Hobbit is clean as a whistle.

He's going to be a bit busy attacking the town, and I doubt very much if he eats while his fire's lit. He'll probably torch as many people as he can, though

but it certainly will, at least to some extent - enough to satisfy you, I hope! I understand what you mean, and agree with you that his capacity to kill must be shown again, but my own wish is to see as many people as possible escape, even if their houses are destroyed...! And I'm sure you will agree with me about that too!!!

Smaug should have eaten Fili in DOS. It would have strengthened the ending no end. Though probably impossible since they filmed part 3 before deciding on the ending to part 2.

I can think of five: orcs, trolls, Smaug, Gollum, and giant spiders. (Yikes, no wonder everybody carries a sword.) Did I miss any?

When Tauriel is walking along the forest river you can see a dead dear torn apart by orcs. I might bee swing things but there was blood in tgar scene. I really don't know what you're expecting. During the battle of moria the dwarves were covered in blood and I'm sure some of them will be in BOFTA

I'm talking about the lack of blood on weapons, the lack of blood on character's faces, and the lack of blood just in general. The weapons are always clean. The company went through that entire goblin town scene and there was not one drop of blood to be seen. Blood on weapons is a small detail that adds a lot of realism to the movie, IMO. Same with blood on character's faces/body. In LotR, after most fights someone was bloodied, even just a little. That just isn't happening in The Hobbit. And for me it makes thing less believable. It's a small problem, but it just bothers me.
