Some TBOTFA Laketown spoilers

I've been dropping some mild spoilers now and then over the years, and I thought I'd share some spoilers that take place during the beginning of TBOTFA. I have no idea if these scenes play out the way they do in the final movie, or it they're even included, but what I do know is that they were filmed. So an obvious SPOILER WARNING is in order: - During Smaug's attack on Laketown, the Master will (as the man he is) decide to leave with all his valuables. He brings with him Alfrid, Braga and some guards and they set off. Bard is left in his cell, but manages to get hold of a rope, tie it to the bars and lasso the other end around some part of the Master's boat. The bars break off. Freedom! - Alfrid points out the weight of everything the Master has brought with him is too much for the boat. The Master agrees and has Alfrid thrown overboard. Bard eventually saves him from the cold water, hence why he ends up in Dale with the rest of the refugees. Well, that's it folks. I've been told no more details about these scenes, so I'm afraid I can't answer any specific questions!

I know a lot of people were curious about how Bard escapes This also explains how Alfrid ends up in Dale, yet the Master is nowhere to be seen- maybe Smaug sees all the gold glinting on the boat and torches it? Befitting end to the Master, I think- and a great way to do an on screen death similar to how he died in the book- with nothing but valuables around him, and showing that it was his greed that caused his death. Thanks again for the spoilers- unlike the recent string of "spoilers" by that one user who stopped posting, I know that you at least work in the business

So it's the Master who in the end, unknowingly, frees Bard from his jail?! Ironical... And he gets rid of Alfrid... a lesson Alfrid will learn from, hopfully!
