Link Smile

..The Lord of Silver Fountains
.....The King of Carven Stone
..The King Under the Mountain
.......Shall come into his own

..And the bells will ring in gladness
......At the Mountain King's return
..But all shall fail in sadness
....And the lake will shine and burn

hmmmm [In reply to] Can't Post

Gandalf: "You have but one question to answer. How shall this day end?"

Bard: "Eagle to the Prancing Pony for a few quick ones, then Green Dragon I reckon."

Gandalf: "So be it."

Thank you - costume geek re Bard pondering! [In reply to] Can't Post

ShockedShockedShockedShockedShocked

Duh, never really noticed until now, but Bard's under tunic looks suspiciously like the material used in Thorin's DOS "bathrobe" so now I wonder if that fabric was some sort of Laketown special - coarse, but warm.
Just hope it's not ITCHY for the actors.

Does Bard lose his beloved coatFrown? And it occurs to me like filming the Matrix, for certain roles the actors had to be uber-lean - with all the layers Bard has on!Shocked

have you seen the EE bit where Bard talks about playing Girion? [In reply to] Can't Post

There's a spot of him patting his gut and talking about how he had to wear a fat suit and a prosthetic nose and beard like the dwarves, and someone commented, "Did they pad you?"

Go watch it if you have it- his reaction is PRICELESS! Sly

Just look at the attention to detail in that one little shot. [In reply to] Can't Post

Dead grass that grew in the cracks of the wall in summer and is now dry in autumn, and little dustings of snow on some of the narrow projections of the stones. Somebody - Ra Vincent and his team - dressed those sets and then went around every day, sometimes in between takes, to freshen it up. Gorgeous!

I say, let's hear it for persnicketiness! Thanks, gals and guys! Smile Heart

One question [In reply to] Can't Post

Gandalf: "You have, but one question to ask... Moustache? Or no moustache?"

Bard: "I cannot see beyond my own desire."
