The Hobbit - Animated feature film series

Hello, everyone! Here's some interesting news: There is an upcoming animated The Hobbit series, which debuts on November 26th (just one month to go!) The series is going to have 19 episodes/chapters,like the book. Each released monthly or weekly, I don't know. They don't post updates frequently. I do hope the project is still up! Images: Here's their Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/...AnimatedFeature?_rdr And their project website: http://www.cosmiccreations.nl/thehobbit Cheers!

The animation technique will most likely be limited, but, of course, the series will be worth watching since they list each episode as a separate chapter of a book. And I can say I like the designs.

I like the look too though, this looks like it could be a fun watch. Now if only someone could attempt finishing Bakshi's or making FotR and TTT in the style of Rankin Bass. I'd pay many money to see that.

It will be released online, on their site/Facebook, i believe. I'm not sure but it looks like the creators are Spanish-speakers, i could be wrong. But what worries me is the fact that they haven't posted updates recently!

Though the chapter by chapter structure is slightly worryingly suggestive of the "moving illustration" approach, but who knows, I might be pleasantly surprised.

The animators are from the Netherlands.

Dutch is the language on the rest of the website for www.cosmiccreations.nl. It looks like fun! Nice find and thanks for posting. I hope it proves to be a young-kid-friendly version to share with littler ones.

Is it confirmed that this is an authorized/legal adaptation?

I see no indication that this is authorized either by Middle-earth Enterprises or by the Tolkien Estate.

I guess it's kind of a fan work. I can't say much, as I don't know beyond what's been revealed to the public.
