If human gymnasts, ninjas, parkour specialists, etc can perform such amazing stunts and movements, utilizing their full range of motion, then how much more so could a non-human elf? A fair number of people complain about Legolas and Tauriel's stunts, just like they complain about Thorin's "wheelbarrow surfing", yet they forget that these are NOT human beings... Dwarves...resistant to heat and fire (not invulnerable, but resistant), strong...tough....thick muscles, dense bones....MADE to withstand Melkor (Morgoth)'s dominion.... Elves....light as a feather...walk on snow and nary leaving a footprint? Graceful, elegant, walk softly, lithe and swift.... These are NOT humans, and therefore they can survive/withstand greater extremes than a human can, whether that be falling down in Goblin Town, or walking on walls, or hopping across dwarf heads (though the latter was a bit over the top in terms of Legolas's attitude, I think ). Thanks for the reminder Bomby (oh, and I was a gymnast too, but only for a short time- six months in college PE courses but a former national competitor gymnast thought I had been doing it for at least three years- wish I'd been able to continue on but life got in the way ). I excelled in the vault and jumps/twists/flips off the springboard (needed more upper body strength for uneven bars, and a wee bit more non-assisted spring for the floor though that was my favorite event- we didn't do much beams due to college insurance liability). And I am still, even without stretching, very flexible and balanced and my movements (including the jumps and flips when I was doing it) are very controlled

capacities of our Elves!... and of the actors playing them, especially the ones lke Orlando who does the stunts himself. In many comments here his feats are rather mocked, but I find him quite an extraordinary performer, to be able to actually, phusically perform precisely all those high feats!!! Go Orlando!!! As for Evangeline Lilly, I don't know what she does and what she is not really doing herself, but just the way she fights etc is for me nearly unbelievable. So I'm glad to join in this highly deserved little celebration of those two actors' very special skills!
