It's not Dain  Not unless his design has changed.
Billy Connoly is quoted as saying that he has a huge red mohawk, whereas this dwarf is dark haired and bald on top like Dwalin
However, it's a FANTASTIC image, and I like the artist. Those pre-viz shots look great too!

It might still be Dain, just an earlier design which has since evolved into the red mohawk design Billy Conolly was talking about.
And I absolutely agree, these images are stunning!
