500 dwarves and at least 1000 elven spear men are the only specific numbers, I thought? Plus "some" of each of the other categories but how many is pretty much a straight guess as far as I can see.

I only meant that, even if the Elvenking brought less than half as many archers as spearmen (over 1000), once we add the Men of Lake-town and Thorin's companions (on top of Dain's 500+ Dwarves) we should be well over 2000.

But that's still a guess - perhaps he brought only a quarter as many archers or ten times as many archers, though equally I do understand what you are are saying in return!
