How about this as an ending song for BOTFA

I know it wouldn't be exactly this song (It will be a new song), but maybe something along this tone, which is very much like May it Be. I know the previous two films have been male singers but I feel that the way this film will play out (which is very emotional) then I think a female voice would be appropriate, all the better if they get Enya back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkm570j-nN0
Not all those who wander are Lost Darkness must pass. A new day will come and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.

Enya's voice is so pure. I loved her singing in Fellowship and would love to hear her again. The song itself isn't anything to do with The Hobbit, as you say. The mood? Well, I don't know. I think that depends so much on how they choose to end the film, and we can only guess at that. Just in the abstract I'd be happy to hear Enya sing something with that kind of feeling; whether it would fit the film or not I can't say.
