That Bilbo poster has become my favorite Middle-earth poster by far. Just such an epic shot of one of my favorite characters!! Can't wait to get the soundtrack and play it beside while I'm roaming Middle-earth in Lord of the Rings Online!

Oh, no. Not "Composed by Howard Shore" only, once again! What's wrong with him doing the orchestration and all that?, like he did for AUJ? One may say it doesn't alter the finished product, but I disagree. It feels like he's not enjoying the Middle earth ride this time. We shall see.

Because he is a very busy older man, and he does not have the time and energy to spend on balancing the orchestra, plus dealing with last minute cruch-time re-writes.

Try not to be too quick to assume feelings on Howard Shore's behalf...

It isn't fair to him to make statements like that on the basis of - nothing. For all we know it might be his choice for some reason. None of us knows what does on in his mind - or anyone else's, unless they tell us. Best leave it at that.

Although I agree and accept that he is older and may not have the patience necessary, TIME is not an excuse, as he knew he had a trilogy to work with every year. But I don't have the right to judge, you guys are right.

My heart always sinks when I read those kind of comments because it's so intrusive, and insidious. Once one person posts it another will pick it up - well, they've read it somewhere, haven't they - and before you know where you are everyone 'knows' it. Except that they don't know it at all.

I have watched it work right here. Someone speculates at to 'intention' or 'motivation' and three months later, that speculated intention/motivation is being quoted as a fact. I think it's a useful exercise to imagine an event or situation in the life of someone we love or care deeply about (in our real life). Then imagine a slip of information about that event or situation being put out on the internet for the Web to respond to. We all know that, given the right exposure on the right sites... that bit of info could result in all sorts of assumptions and aspersions and accusations - many really nasty - that would be no where close to accurate or the truth. We would cry out... 'but you don't have all the facts' or maybe... 'it's not your business.' Well... let's all use standard we could only hope for if it were our loved ones up for judgment on those we are more distant from. We don't have all the facts and it's not really our business. I mean, yeah... we'll buy the tickets to the movie and/or buy the soundtrack. But whether someone does 1 task in relationship to this project or 3... that's not really our business such that we can start maligning someone's intention, work ethic, or whatever. must walk away....

That is a truly awful and presumptuous thing to say about him. Give him and break, just be grateful we're getting more music he has written.

ITz a Lesson bomby has learned over & OVER there & Back again. Over time NOT pointing any Nine Fingers. BUT Have you ever met someone who IZZ... "All-Knowing"? EXAMPLE: YOU make a Statement THEY say... you are wrong? Well, When you prove to them, They ARE WRONG? They jus' say..."HUM"? Never do they say "Oh! I was Wrong".Since, "I Apologize,"....."I'm Sorry.." Is NOT in their Vocabulary. THIS Example... is How you Spot Someone who ISzzzz... "ALL-Knowing"! Itz kinda sorta, the definition of a "Sociopath" "A Person who has NO Guilt over what they say or. do.." Does that make ANY sense? If, not then bomby izz Wrong..... TOO!

so I'm kind of curious as to what color the Special Edition soundtrack will be. Perhaps the color of the Extended Edition to DoS (it still confuses me as to why the Special Edition soundtrack is purple, although the signature color is more green)? If this is the case, I sure hope the Extended Edition to BoFA isn't purple (though I would buy it anyway, regardless). I don't even think I'll be buying this poster, since I already have a poster with Bilbo (though I don't have one with Smaug yet, so I may opt for the other poster, unless of course, there's one with Thorin, since I wouldn't mind having one like on the scroll. The one with him, Fili, and Kili in battle mode, not the one with him on the throne, since that one is a little too depressing).

I didn't mean to offend him or anyone here. And i humbly take back what I said. I love Howard Shore's songs. It was one of those cases of momentary frustration and saying without thinking, and i'm deeply sorry for that. It was wrong of me. Let us move on, please.

and it wasn't you Leon Dear... jus' something happened TODAY that made bomby BLUE? Any Long-Term LOT-Rain has a special Corner of their world RESERVED for Mister SHORE. (A Window seat?) His EFFECT on our daily lives often extendzz much further.... than the Reach of Sir PJzz ARM.. Deeper inside in some ways Unexplainable? Inexplicable..? UNIVERSAL @Least for bomby HE does. Jus' think of the JOY Howard brings to this Banquet? Bomby bows to OUR Howard anytime

We're all passionate about these books and films, and sometimes say things in the heat of the moment. To your credit, you've admitted you did jut that and meant more nothing by it. That's more than can be said for people who make presumptuous statements and then get argumentative. So chin up... it's good to have a passionate fan of the music in the house :)
