But 90 squid seems like daylight robbery, especially as these bookends have already been sold with another product, I believe, and are not exclusive to this one. I'll stick to the DVD and steelbook.

They had it for 80£ yesterday. Might be a good deal for those who does not want the Barrel statuette and did not want to buy the Guards version of the theatrical version (it was not released in UK btw).

It would have been much cheaper to buy a non-UK edition with the Guards. £90 is really excessive.

£15 for the Blu-Ray and £37.50 for each bookend.

There's no denying it's expensive. But when you break it down like that and look at the quality of them, they are worth it. The bookends are my favourite of all the exclusive statues.

Except that is just a picture of the Theatrical Version Blu Ray Steelbook and the bookends. There is also absolutly no note of it being the Extended Edition on the packaging whatsoever. I reckon Amazon is still wrong.

I feared that might be the case (not EE) when I saw the place-holder...

And as much as I would like these bookends the price point is prohibitive. It is still possible to purchase a set from the US a bit cheaper elsewhere even allowing for £20 import tax

I tried to amend my above post but ran out of editing time. What makes me suspicious is why they would they release a promo image with what is likely the wrong case for the Extended Edition - no other EE release uses that design, the design was used for the Theatrical 3D Steelbook - as well as having no mention of the Extended Edition on the Box. As odd as it may seem I reckon it could be just a basic re-issue of the bookends with the Theatrical Version, timed at the same time as the EE. Maybe due to perceived demand for the Bookends? The First release was number limited run was it not? That could explain the cover change - to distinguish it from the original release. This time the 3D Steelbook design but in standard Blu Ray case form. Otherwise why the wrong image? It's not as if the Extended Edition artwork doesn't exist... The listing of a never materialising AUJ 'Treasure Chest' Version last year also adds to the scepticism. I reckon this is real but won't be the EE.

I'm pretty sure it's just the wrong image. May get updated in the coming weeks. Still gonna hold onto my US reservation though (£56 delivered for 3D, £47 for 2D).
