There are some shots of Ian Holm walking around Bag End. [In reply to] Can't Post

The first one or two i believe, in the dark with the candle. But later, when we see Old Bilbo rushing from room to room while talking to Frodo, it's Martin Freeman (notice we don't get a good look at his face). And then of course the shot outside as Frodo leaves and runs down the lane (which was in one of the first trailers-- that's when i first noticed it), as Sir Ian never went to New Zealand to film on location in Hobbiton, obviously.

Like i said, i like that Martin Freeman was intercut with Ian Holm playing Old Bilbo-- i think it helped synthesize their slightly different takes on the character, preparing us for Martin's full on performance as Young Bilbo, without us (well, some of us) even knowing it.

The are shots in Bag End that are Martin in prosthetic makeup [In reply to] Can't Post

You can see it when he walks across the room when he's saying 'you know I caught her making off with the silverware once'. Also, when he's standing, writing at the table when Frodo is saying he's being 'unsociable'.
