My vision is so bad that if you were to put my glasses on you'd see the future! When I was around 7 or 8 I played little league baseball and couldn't hit a beach ball! I got my eyes checked and my vision was pretty terrible so I got glasses. I still sucked at baseball though so it had nothing to do with the fact that I couldn't see the ball haha! Been playing music ever since, ha! I tried contacts for about 2 years when I was 17. I didn't like them. My eyes were always dry and being the animal that was me I was always partying. Drinkin and smoking never helped the dry eye problem and sometimes...a lot of times I would fall asleep with the contacts in which is not good at all. I'm sure that by now they've made some significant improvements in the lens department but I'm fine with glasses. I've been wearing them for almost 30 years and I'm fine. As for the surgery...I've considered it of course. I know several people who've had it and praise it but it could get expensive depending on you're health insurance. My coverage only pays for 1 eye haha. Maybe I'll just get one done and invest in a monacle haha!
I thought I saw a glint of sunlight on glass...

And anyway, housework is boring...
I can't even begin to describe how much this made me laugh this morning. It becomes really really funny if you know who my neighbor across the street is!
I got glasses in...3rd...2nd grade? I switched to contacts in....whew!, I think my freshman year of highschool and I love the change. I never really liked the way I looked with glasses. Although lately I've considered getting some of those big, black, geeky glasses that everyone is wearing now! I've also considered LASIK but it's a very intimidating thought! I like the idea of waking up and having no need for either glasses or contacts but..... We'll see as the years pass!

Contacts plus glasses for special purposes

I'm using "mono vision" (one eye corrected for reading and the other for distance). Occasionally I use special glasses for middle distance (when doing extensive computer work). I have bifocals for time when my lenses are out (which are rare). My lenses are "extended wear" (night and day, change every month). I like being able to see when I wake up at night!
