He is LORD of the LENS, imho :) [In reply to] Can't Post

Every single shot is a work of art and can go from high-action, to suspense, to intimate. He captures it all.

And anyone who could easily explain to us where the light and music comes from when we needed it is a hero in my book :)

I love how he participated in Sean Astin's short film, The Long and Short of it".

I'm wondering [In reply to] Can't Post

What is the job of a cinematographer, besides having a cool name of course. From what I gather they get the right camera position for shots and possibly frame the shots. They're also seen looking through funny camera-like devices for framing shots?

They also choose filters and stuff for the cameras, and supervise the colour grading.

Hard to say w/ the "Lightening-Speed "..changes of technology today.. [In reply to] Can't Post

PJ gets a Feed into his Tent of what
the Camera is doing..

Andrew does have
a "Focus Puller"..
looking into the
Camera used..
He is checking things with a "LIght-Meter..

Someone else has measured the distance
from a Face to the lens..

Dolly operators have
rehearsed the movement...

Lighting men, move the "Hot Spots"
around The Shot that has been rehearsed,
as well.

Andrew is on Headset with ALL of the Above..

so Together they create their INcredible
shots like mini-movies...one Take @ a Time.

Maybe go back & look @ your Production videos
in a NEW light? LOOK @ how they do it, right before your EYES!
It takes many people to
PULL it off.

One eye to rule them all.

Chiefest and greatest of
cinematographers.

The one who wields the camera.

We applaud you for your filmic wizardry.

We appreciate your keen visual perception.
