The 1080p QT Version ist much better.

It's still being negotiated whether a 4K hard format will exist. People don't like the idea of starting yet another format collection.
I personally hope a physical format does happen in future, I much prefer my physical collection to my digital films, but what shape a physical format would take I don't know - some sort of USB hard drive or something. I don't really see 4K Blu-ray as a reality, people aren't going to buy 4K Blu-ray players when most people still haven't upgraded to 2K Blu-ray yet. Downloads are the future, unfortunately.
