I like Isaac best (especially because it goes well with "Isaac the Artist") .

But I kinda want it to happen out in the open, so that Beorn can carve a path through hordes of orcs in the attempt to save Thorin.
How many Tolkien fans does it take to change a light bulb? "Change? Oh my god, what do you mean change?! Never, never, never......"

Having him imprisoned is just like having him knocked out: main character is still not in the climactic battle. In the posterwall that was leaked, we see Bilbo with Sting during the BOFA, presumably (he's in that scene collage, on a rock). Maybe he's imprisoned by the elves who catch him sneaking out, and he's temporarily put in a cell until Bard can meet with him? But where would they have a cell in a camp... Ehhh maybe we're misinterpreting information. Let's wait and see for ourselves.

Remember, that Gandalf may not be able to get there in time for that, in the films.

Remember, that Gandalf may not be able to get there in time for that, in the films. I would hate to miss out on the following exchange: "Get down now to your friends!" [Thorin] said to Bilbo, "or I will throw you down!" "What about the gold and silver?" asked Bilbo. "That shall follow after, as can be arranged," said he. "Get down!" "Until then we keep the stone," cried Bard. "You are not making a very splendid figure as King under the Mountain," said Gandalf. "But things may change yet." I suppose that the scene could be tweaked to work without Gandalf, but I would prefer otherwise.
