I'm just SO grateful for the Bard and especially that stunning, gorgeous Thranduil image. And even tho I'm missing my dwarves and esp. the Mountain King (no matter what, he's my favorite) I know there will be a slew of images - also of Bilbo. So much of these films rests on the shoulders of one little Hobbit.

Thranduil looks absolutely epic. *shivers* I like Bard more and more with each new pic. Where's your blue coat Bard? I thought you'd change clothes soon after your dip in the lake. It looks like he waits till Dale to suit up. Makes me wonder about that family picture. Perhaps I'm assuming too much.

...how gorgeous Thranduil is in this shot??? And I'm NOT a Thrandy girl, I promise. I said it after DoS and I'll say it again, Lee Pace is exactly how I pictured Thranduil. They were able to mirror his image based on Legolas (since they already visualized him in LOTR), there is a strong family resemblance, but enough differences, I think, to say Legolas may also look like his mother. But Thranduil looks just like the Elvenking, tall, fair, majestic, cool, he's just amazing. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

... I thought you'd change clothes soon after your dip in the lake. It looks like he waits till Dale to suit up." That pic of Bard is in Dale so the mystery of the blue coat continues.

Fan of both books and movies; it seems I have severely misnamed myself... for the moment. Appreciating Thranduil, thread by thread: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII (Tis true! More appreciation threads for Thranduil exist than ME movies) Thrall Wars!: What business do Elves, Dwarves or Men(?) have with drooling thralls, yea, with smartphones in tow, unto the slopes of Erebor? ... oh, yes, the Hobbit's lingering in some shadows, ever ready to swoop to the hairy rescue. Take cover if you dare! Teh partsies: Prologue (aka the 'tater-mash of whatever came before), Two, Three, Four new! posted 16 Jul "BoFA"= The Battle || "BotFA"/"tBofTA" = The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies ======= Middle-earth dispatches out of the lurkmirk
