I would have sworn that TTT TC DVD came out a lot earlier in the year, maybe due to the fact that ROTK came out in May and because these days DVD's do come out much closer to the end if their theatrical run. Goes to show that we actually haven't had to wait as long as people might think for a BOFA trailer then. I also remember once the ROTK marketing get into full swing we were actually overly spoilt with clips and pictures.

I also remmeber reading on a few occasions that the final film may end up being the shortest. PJ is getting better at cutting these films for theatrical release, as shown by DOS and it's more positive critical reception than AUJ.

I also remember once the ROTK marketing get into full swing we were actually overly spoilt with clips and pictures. I remember, we waited a lot longer for a first real glimpse at RotK than the other films. I used to check this site every day back then (i still do ). The US release date for the theatrical release of TTT was August 26th, 2003. Check release date on the Amazon link. Was odd, becauseThe Return of the King Theatrical Edition came out a whole 3 months earlier the following year. http://www.amazon.com/...rings+the+two+towers They never released a RotK teaser in cinemas. I miss the extended dvd preview and next film previews they used to stick on the DVD's. Really wished they did it with The Hobbit, but I suppose everything is quickly plastered over YouTube these days. So exclusive content, is not really that exclusive. Still a shame, when they know fans will buy it twice. PJ & co seem to be less fan friendly since the release of AUJ, hardly any production videos and fewer updates.
