Beorn: new Making Of with SEE scenes! Can't Post

There is a making of published on a Japanese website containing some of scenes with Beorn which are not in the Theatrical Edition. Specifically, one seems to be from the film, and two others are behind-the-scenes footage.

1. Beorn chopping wood, first appeared as a thumbnail on a German calendar:

2. Beorn talking with Gandalf in the wood, as seen on a photo the inside of the German calendar.

3. Beorn walking through a wood at night. Could be actual film footage.

Wow. [In reply to] Can't Post

One thing this movie certainly needed was more Beorn. I was worried about how they would pull it off at first, but in the end wished for more.

Screenshots [In reply to] Can't Post

Can someone please take some screenshots from the videos? I use my old mobile to surf the web so videos are a "no" for me.

Thanks in advance!

I agree... [In reply to] Can't Post

... his presence was one of those moments where you were reminded that there was so much history in Middle-earth. He felt like something out of an older world.

Epiphany [In reply to] Can't Post

I finally figured out who Beorn reminds me of.

Cosmo Kramer - from Seinfeld. I think it's the hair and the way he comes through doors, plus a fairly strong resemblance.

Now his life is full of wonder
But his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down
To bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land

My take on Beorn [In reply to] Can't Post

I like everything with the portrayal of Beorn, except the hair design. Just IMO, but I'm still not onboard with the design of the facial and head hair. But I like all else about the character, his demeanor, appearance otherwise, manner of speaking, etc.

Thanks for these pics. It'll be interesting to watch these in an extended edition, maybe someday.
