for some other things too. As you said, linking it to your FB. I follow several non profits I support, including a women's shelter and a local food bank. When they have needs they send out a tweet, like if they need children's clothes etc. or food requests etc. Those things, community action type things, I think it's useful for. Knowing what Martin Freeman (who wisely does not have twitter) is eating for lunch or dinner? Not so much.l

I am often working in the international relations and politics context, and Twitter is a treasure when you want to help and get news from difficult regions of the world, especially in states of emergency.
