No question it's Gondolin [In reply to] Can't Post

It was impenetrable and secret for thousands of years.

But in a contest between Gondolin and Mina's Tirith [In reply to] Can't Post

Gondolin would win. At least in my book.

Hands down [In reply to] Can't Post

In the entirety of Arda it has to be Gondolin.

Moria [In reply to] Can't Post

I would say Moria, though it fell into ruin, all was not lost, and it helped serve the Fellowship well.

Gondolin [In reply to] Can't Post

What DaughterofLaketown said.

Plus I've always liked how it sounded like an instrument a Venetian boatman would play.

That's the "Gondolina" [In reply to] Can't Post

In Venice many years back we heard a smooth rendering of I’d like to get you on a slow boat to Valinor played by a gondolier on the gondolina from his gondola. Cool

Angband [In reply to] Can't Post

I chose Angband. Gondolin's greatness relied heavily on the fact that it was well hidden. Once it was found, it didn't last very long.

At least I'd say... [In reply to] Can't Post

That even though it eventually fell (didn't they all, eventually?) Gondolin has always interested me the most.
