A small dilemma
Can't Post
I'm going to be away from my computer for a few days, starting late this morning. I just realized that tomorrow is Tuesday, when I post the reading thread. So I thought I would go ahead and post the reading thread this morning, as a "Monday special edition". However, last week's reading thread is still fairly high up on the page. I could start a new reading thread inside that one, but I'm not sure anyone would see it. Not a Middle-earth-shaking problem, I know, but I would appreciate suggestions. Thank you!
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow....

So I'll add a post to last week's Cinco de Mayo thread and hope for the best. If one of the modar wants to move it front and center, I'd be delighted. If not, thanks anyway. Cheers, Lily

The normal weekly threads should always post in a new topic, even if the old thread is just a few slots below. People look for these threads and expect a new one weekly. The very small amount of traffic in the latest Weekly Reading thread that was posted in the previous thread is proof of this. http://newboards.theonering.net/...i?post=739937#739937 After all, if the board is moving slowly enough that we've had just a few new topics in the past week, we can afford to "waste" a slot. when the admins make that call, but it isn't yet. If a topic is already on page one then a new round of discussions on that topic should go into that existing thread.

Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Admins of TORN, Superusers, my Tornsibs, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when posts should not be combined, when we forsake old posts and break all bonds of Tornetiquette, but it is not this day. An hour of spam and flaming threads, when the servers of TORN come crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Admins of TORN!!!
