Once - And A Feeling Of Regret About The Series

I went once to see TDOS the theater in 2D. I have not seen it at all otherwise. I saw AUJ twice in the theater - once in 2D and once to experience 3D HFR and compare. My curiosity about 3D HFR is over. Not interested. While the difference was obvious, I'm just not impressed by the gimmickry nearly as much as Jackson and the Hollywood studios (except Tarantino) out for an extra few of my bucks.
Compared to LOTR, I am filled with regret that I probably will not live to see The Hobbit done right, especially as part of a complete set with LOTR. I feel The Hobbit series has wasted a unique opportunity to use the actors returning from LOTR with the same maturity, sincerity and dignity; the same tone. I know The Hobbit is a children's book, but that's just not what I wanted in these movies.
No problem BF. It's hard to tame a Fox

I occasionally get contrary just to encourage a hammering or possible discussion.
Here's a couple chestnuts for you (or anyone lurking nearby).
Entrance guarding without seeing, Ever moving nowhere going, No hair yet long flowing, Always grumbling without speaking, What am I?
They were out on a brief recreation When invaded by a swift infiltration. Some say one’s large size Induced the surprise, Causing their untimely debarkation. Who are we?
Alright, let's give those chestnuts a try. Could the first one be the waterfall that concealed the entrance to Henneth Annûn? And the second one the Elves of Mirkwood (Thranduil and his folk), maybe?
