When it comes to abbreviations, either/or.

It's apparently The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. But I don't think it matters with abbreviation. BoFA is so much nearer than TBotFA. Just like FotR is neater that TFotR, DoS is neater than TDoS. I think the The's can be taken out of abbreviation to make it cleaner. Even BotFA is nicer than TBotFA.

Because there's going to be a lot in BOFA or BOTFA that I'm really gonna hate. But anticipating (as a Thorin/dwarf lover): 1) The reunion of the company 2) Bard/Smaug 3) Finally getting a look at Dain hopefully on a war-boar (and here's hoping he is an uber-badass) 4) The thoroughly magnificent Thorin being magnificently, heartbreakingly, insane and finding out what RA means when he talks about Thorin becoming fixated/obsessed w. Bilbo (not sure of the exact words) - and also being the ultimate badass and this "suicidal charge" w. the rest of the company. (Having another clash w. Thranduil and/or firing off an arrow at whoever is getting on his nerves would be nice). 5) The deaths of those *bleep* Azog and Bolg who needed to be taken out a while ago, and hoping Beorn tears it up. Dread: 1) The obvious re the Heirs of Durin 2) Possibly too much focus on elves and/or Legolas and why he does what he does re LOTR, as I never liked having his motivation pounded into me, and Legolas becoming who he is in LOTR re a possible tragedy is just too boring for me. 3) Possibly being too upset to care about the last 20 minutes or so of the movie *sigh*. Thank God for Martin Freeman and his wealth of talent that will probably help. 4) Remarks about "looking forward to insanity/funerals". It's not that I don't understand that - I do. I just flinch anyway because I personally am not looking forward to that (that goes way back from reading the book, too). 5) The obvious because I'm already nostalgic for the fun of the last couple of years, the PR leaks, the first casting news, the first trickle of dwarf images - hard to let go. And I hope PJ doesn't, really. LOL just a bit more Middle Earth! Please?
"Richard Armitage’s performance has been one of the best things about the new trilogy, making you believe that a hairy dwarf, so often the comedy element of the LOTR films, can be a heroic, tortured, and dangerous badass." - Den of Geek, The Hobbit: There & Back Again, 7 Apr 2014 - 07:07

Is it BOTFA or BOFA? Because it's either TBOTFA or BOFA, but not intermixed. The formal title is, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. For brevity, I plan to use either TH:Bo5A or just BoFA.

CGI Legolas & CGI Tauriel surfing on something 2. Radagast character damage 3. video game-like action sequence 4. decapitation #374 5. Random departure from the book to focus on a character who's name isn't Bilbo

1. Gandalf learning about Bilbo's ring 2. Laketown destruction - it will be EPIC! 3. Thranduil in full fighting mode 4. Tauriel's fate (pretty sure Radagast will survive, not so sure about her), and 5. The final song by whomever - I only know it won't be Enya or Leonard Nimoy (LOL!) What I'm NOT looking forward to: 1. Thorin's madness and eventual death 2. Fili & Kili (sob!) 3. If the final scene is Balin coming to visit Bilbo before leaving for Moria (more sobs, I really like him!) What I'm NOT expecting, but think would be COOL: Saruman finding the Pollantir after rescuing Gandalf - and a great tie-in!

In The Hobbit, Tokien introduces the event as the Battle of Five Armies. It is referred to in the same way in the prologue to LotR and in the chapter "The Shadow of the Past." It is in Appendix B, "The Tale of Years," that the battle is called the Battle of the Five Armies.

1. Bilbo's return to Bag End and the auction. 2. Bilbo handing the Arkenstone over to Bard/Thranduil 3. The White Council coming to Dol Guldur The two first are really crucial moments and include both drama and comedy as well as having Martin Freeman and Lee Pace interacting in one of them. The third I anticipate mostly because of the execution of the action; I thought they did a great job visually with Sauron's battle with Gandalf at Dol Guldur
