Maybe when Daniel and i sneak in i will take my buzzer. Along with the spanking we'll give him a landing field runway along top of his head. A Mohawk in reverse. Awww. we'd just start a trend and EVERYone would be required to get one.
but seriously, if there were a day where no crimes would be punished, I'd end up huddled in my bathroom hoping no one committed a crime against me!
But the speeding one sounds good.
My friend who saw the first "Purge" movie (and said it was really good) said yes, that one night was all about survival for some people. I guess that was the point of the movie.
I am amazed that many folks wouldn't commit a crime....I not only feel like a heel for that but, I realized I have - sped/joyride...I have been stoned/wasted, I have had sex in public, I have stolen something and I have beat someone up......guess I'm on the Sauron side of the spectrum...

The same thing you describe about L.A. riots (I have to read about it, don't know anything) was a subject of Gustave Le Bon's work concerning French Revolution (La Psychologie des Foules (1895) The crowd: a study of the popular mind), But I suspect you are familiar with it

Being very young, full of life and absolutely love feeling the wind in my hair, naturally I'd speed/joyride any time I could!! I guess if I could openly walk around armed with a bow and arrows and swords and daggers then I'd do that too, just in case someone tried to harm me or something!
